Death by Chocolate Brownies Recipe
For the Brownie Batter:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 TBS OF CAYNEE PEPPER
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon PURE vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup GUITTARD COCOA ROUGE cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon CELTIC SALT
1 cup GHIRARDELLI semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Ganache:
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups GHIRARDELLI semi-sweet chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Drizzle (Optional):
1/2 cup GHIRAREDLLI white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two opposite sides for easy removal.
Prepare the Brownie Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar and cayanne pepper. Mix until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add the dry and wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Bake the Brownies:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
While the brownies are baking, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it simmer. Remove from heat.
Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl.
Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and let it sit for a minute to melt the chocolate.
Gently whisk the mixture until smooth and glossy.
Assemble the Brownies:
Once the brownies are out of the oven, let them cool in the pan for a few minutes.
Pour the prepared chocolate ganache over the warm brownies and spread it evenly using an offset spatula.
Chill and Set:
Place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the ganache is set.
Add the Chocolate Drizzle (Optional):
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
Use a spoon or a piping bag to drizzle the melted white chocolate over the chilled brownies.
Cut and Serve:
Use the parchment paper overhangs to lift the brownies out of the pan.
Place them on a cutting board and cut into squares.
